One of our star summer 2021 Business and Marketing interns!

Originally from San Francisco, California Anu moved to Buffalo, NY and is now pursuing her MBA from the University at Buffalo.

San Francisco's loss is Stratus' gain. We are so thrilled to have such a talented individual as part of the team.

We sat down with Anu to learn a little bit more about her...

What inspired you to pursue an MBA?

I have always been interested in getting my MBA. After working in Silicon Valley for 6 years, I felt like I was at a good point in my career to go back to school to learn valuable leadership skills. I am hoping my MBA helps me lead dynamic teams that help accelerate the growth of companies I lead.

What interested you about Stratus? Why did you apply?

I remember watching Ravi Sahu's pitch at the 43North Competition in 2019 and became very interested in what the company was doing. I continued to read about the growing success of Stratus in Buffalo during my MBA program. I knew I wanted to work for a growing startup in Buffalo and found the perfect fit with the summer opportunity at Stratus thanks to Kim!

What do you want to do in the future?

I want to be a CEO of a company that is pushing the limits of what is considered normal and contributing positively to our society.

How do you see your time at Stratus contributing to your plans? What do you hope to accomplish during your time with us?

Stratus is giving me firsthand experience of what it is like to be part of a growing startup. I am hoping to quickly get up to speed on the background and industry that Stratus is in; I hope I can use my business development and marketing expertise to help Stratus continue to grow their business and gain new customers.

What are you working on right now?

Working at Stratus has been a blast (no-pun intended)! I have been able to help the Marketing Team strategize on the company's social media strategy including LinkedIn and Facebook. Going forward, I will be focusing on growth hacking to help the Stratus team reach their vision of getting their product in the hands of more happy customers around the globe.

Tell us something personal about you!

I love to travel and explore new places! I recently visited Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountains. My favorite part was hiking one of the tallest peaks in the National Park.

I am also a licensed yoga teacher and am obsessed with books! I am currently reading Lifespan by David Sinclair.
